Virtual Invisalign Consultation — Contactless Convenience
You might be wondering, “What exactly is a virtual consultation?” Simply put, it’s a safe, contactless way for Dr. Eder to get a look at your smile. During the process, we will ask you to take (or have someone take for you) images of your teeth. By looking at your smile from various angles, the doctor can determine several things:
- If you would be a viable Invisalign candidate
- If you have minor or complex malocclusion (misalignment)
- The general condition of your teeth and oral health
After evaluating your images, you will still need to have a complete, in-person examination. Your first appointment will include X-rays and a thorough oral examination. Dr. Eder will develop a treatment plan for you based on the results of both your virtual consultation and the in-person exam.
What You Need to Know to Begin
All you really need to begin is a cell phone with a camera. Submit the initial form requesting your virtual consultation and our staff will contact you to explain in more detail. You will be instructed on what angles and types of photos are best-suited for the virtual consultation. Once your images are sent to our office, the doctor will take a look at them.
Although we can’t determine everything from digital images during the virtual consultation, it does gives us a good starting point. From your images, we can make note of more specific things to look at or for during your in-person consultation.

Following your virtual consultation, your in-person examination will be scheduled. During that first visit, we will develop a treatment plan for you. We will also discuss your insurance options, financing, length of treatment, and answer any questions you may have.
